Apple has introduced a small, but helpful feature called ‘HeySiri’ on upcoming iOS 8.3 update, this feature allows to make speakerphone calls via Siri. It’s a very useful feature, especially while you’re really busy such as driving, cooking etc. But you can only beseech this feature when your iPhone or iPad is connected to a power source.
How to use – All you need to do is connect your iPhone/ iPad to a power source, and say “Hey Siri”, followed by request you want to make such as make a call, check emails etc. (example – Say “Hey Siri call my Mom on speaker”, and it will make the call on the speakerphone, so you don’t need to tap on speaker button)
This feature works only when your devices connected to a power source but if you’re Jailbreak iOS 8.3 device, then you can install the jailbreak tweak called ‘UntetheredHeySiri’ to use the “Hey Siri” feature without being plugged in.
iOS 8.3 will bring support for several new Siri languages, a new set of more Emojis, login improvements for Google accounts, Wireless CarPlay support and many more. Apple is also working on an iOS 8.4 update that include the Apple’s upcoming new streaming music service and iOS 9. Apple has not-yet announced when iOS 8.3 will release.
